warm romance

melissa & victor color board
when we met melissa, we spent so much time talking about family that we couldn’t help but like her immediately.  everything about her radiated warmth and caring for her family and friends, these colors just really seem to suit her!  their color palette has developed from red and orange to include all the transitional colors in between.  red, rust, burnt orange, and mango roses and candle light will be the main elements used as the backdrop for their special day of romance.

photo shoot with Jerry Yoon Photography

March 13th, 2009 by Malaya

This project was a few months in the making.  We were in search for  a photographer to photograph some of our work.  We spent months of going to business mixers and meeting the photographers at the weddings we designed … great photographers, no luck with chemistry.  Then, on a night when business was the furthest thing from our minds, we met Jerry.

We immediately fell in love with Jerry’s green practices in his work and everyday living.

Here is a sample of our work together: Design In Bloom and Jerry Yoon Photography at the Bancroft Hotel in Berkeley, California.  We decided to use fresh white and green flowers to lighten up the rich tones of the hotel’s Great Hall.

Along with the more traditional and moody designs photographed that day, Jerry photographed our new logo.  We love the warmth and lighting in Jerry’s photo that lend a feeling of romance to our blooms.

Thank you for spending your time with us, Jerry!

re-do us

August 5th, 2008 by Soraya Mcnally

thank you joannie for our re-i.d.!  years and years ago (…wow!  it’s been more than 8 years since design in bloom’s conception) joannie parreno created a great logo and and color scheme for me.  now that me has turned into us and design in bloom is more seasoned, our look has been updated.  DIB is fortunate to have a long standing relationship with someone who has such a keen eye for design.
